Hollandet’s was founded over 20 years ago by the dutchman Robert Sliedrecht. Love paved his way leading him to Switzerland where he is still happily married.
But Robert missed the scent of freshly baked Stroopwafels he smelled on the markets in Leiden (Netherlands) wandering the streets with his grandfather. The desire to enjoy this mouth-watering scrumptious short waffle - and therefore a piece of his home country – in Switzerland led Robert to found Hollandet’s following the example of the dutch marketers: a commitment to quality and tradition, since the Hollandet’s Stroopwafels are being produced in a family owned bakery in the Netherlands. In his adopted country he meets Anton Gjergjaj, whose marketing skills push Hollandet’s to it’s deserved success.
Nowaday still you can find Robert and his business partner Anton baking fresh Stroopwafels in stores offering Hollandet’s and filling the air with the scent of his youth.
